This Boot lid skin will fit any of the classic minis to replace the heavy (and probably rusty) original boot lid. The boot lid you receive is finished in gel coat to allow easy preparation for spraying.  A boot lid locking device is required to allow this boot lid to be locked once closed,  alternatively bonnet pins, dzus slide catches, aero catches or dzus fasteners may be used (all of which are available from our shop). These panels are a fraction of the weight of the original steel items, so you can also increase your acceleration, lower your fuel consumption and of course, being fibreglass, these will never rust!

The boot-lids are supplied with the hole orientation for the hinges and lock pre marked in the surface of the panel. We don't drill single skin panels, as customers often use different fastening methods to the original hinges and lock. When preparing the panel, the marks for the holes will be sanded away, so they will not be visible.

   We recommend the single skin boot lids for fast road/race use. We also offer a double skin version, which is more suitable for everyday road use, this boot lid also has the benefit of being able to use the original internal lock mechanism (the single skin boot lids are still lockable with a standard rear handle, but require our locking devices)
