These front ends have been manufactured to give a superb fit. As with all of our panels we make them look as original as possible to the original steel panel, this means the detailing where the panels would join is still visible. We extend the rear section of the wings and bonnet which allows you to trim the panel to fit perfectly against the scuttle panel. Most minis have had scuttle panels repaired or replaced, and the shape will enevitably be different, so this feature allows you to create a perfect panel gap.


We can also supply all of our front ends with A-panels pre-bonded (you can select this option when purchasing your A-Panels).

 

FAQ's  Will my car be road legal with a fibreglass front end/flip front?

    The Answer is 'yes'. The front end must be fitted correctly, which means it is well secured, lights are all operational, and it easy to access the engine bay to check the vin plate. Brace bars must be fitted between the front subframe and the inner wing which restores (and in fact improves) the structural integrity of the front of the car.

 

What else do I need to fit my front end/flip front?.

You can purchase a complete fitting kit which allows you to fit your front end with ease. The Kit contains everything you need to secure your front end, allowing it to flip forwards for engine maintenance, and to give your mini the appropriate upgrades structurally. The kits are available in our shop under fitting accessories.

 

How Safe is a composite front end in the event of a crash?

Fitting a fibreglass or carbon fibre front end will only lower the safety of the car marginally. The brace bars actually do a better job of supporting the front subframe in a frontal impact, which prevents the subframe being forced up into the floor. Unfortunately, due to the fact that we don't fit every front end we supply, we cannot guarantee anything on structural grounds as this is as much the fitters responsibility as ours.

 Can this front end be fitted to a non saloon Mini?

Yes, if your mini is a van/clubman/estate, you can still fit the round nose front end. Minis that were originally fitted with clubman front panels will require clubman brace bars which are slightly different. (Please select when ordering your fitting kit)

Ultralight or heavy duty?


We have two unique options for our fibreglass panels, ultralight and heavy duty.


Ultralight Fibreglass:


The construction is designed around weight saving, which is one of the most cost effective ways of increasing your acceleration and handling of your mini.

These panels are suitable for race/fast road use and will require bonnet pins/dzus fasteners to secure them to the car (see shop). Our fitting kits include everything you need to fit the front end. These front ends (excluding bonnet) weighs in the region of  6.2kg


Heavy Duty Fibreglass:


Unique to Arc Angels are our heavy duty fibreglass panels. These panels have been constrcted with longevity in mind. These are the most robust and long lasting composite panels on the market, designed around strength and practicality over weight saving, yet they still offer an impressive weight saving over the steel part. They will outlast any of our competitors panels due to the heavy duty construction. Suited for every day road use, they are the best choice if you are after a very high quality panel thats going to last. Front end weight (exclding bonnet) in the region of 8kg
